I believe establishing a non-judgmental, caring, safe and respectful therapeutic relationship is the key to any meaningful change.
My clients matter to me. I am curious, honest and have a good sense of humour. I am passionate about my work and my goal is to help people develop their fullest potential, which in turn leads to a greater sense of freedom and possibility.
I draw on my own personal therapy, my eclectic life experiences and the depth and breadth of my training to appreciate the intricacy and individuality each client brings to our time together.
I have worked in a variety of settings (health, mental health, corrections, family service, private practice) for over 20 years with individuals, couples, families and groups from diverse backgrounds with a very wide range of concerns.
My areas of expertise are relationship issues, childhood and adult trauma, substance abuse, addiction, parenting, separation and divorce, family conflict and violence.
I have been a committed student of Ashtanga yoga for the last five years (wish it was 20) and the insights and wisdom I learn on a daily basis complement my work and I am happy to share these with you.
I am a clinical social worker B.S.W. M.A.A.S.W (accredited) and a member of the Australian Association of Social Workers No. 435032.
I have postgraduate qualifications in both child and adolescent psychotherapy and couples and family therapy.
